About 1Password
1Password sells a unified access management platform for businesses. It brings together five products that help security and IT teams see, protect, and review access for people, AI agents, and machines. The platform is aimed at organisations that need to control credentials and access across cloud infrastructure, SaaS apps, and developer environments. The company's products cover enterprise password management, privileged access, credential brokering, SaaS management, and device trust. 1Password also offers passkeys, which let users sign in without passwords and are protected by biometrics or a device PIN. Passkeys can be created, used, and shared through 1Password on Mac, iOS, Windows, and Android. 1Password says its approach differs from traditional privileged access management tools. Instead of standing access and session proxies, it creates access rights at the time a request is approved and removes them when the work is done. It also provides audit logs that show who or what used a credential, when, and under whose authority.
