About Upwind

Upwind sells a cloud and AI security platform. It is aimed at enterprise security, engineering and platform teams. The company says hundreds of enterprises use it. Its founders previously built Spot.io, a cloud infrastructure optimisation business bought by NetApp. The platform builds a map of cloud and AI assets, including workloads, APIs and agents, and shows who owns them and what data they can reach. It uses runtime signals to pick out production risks and to spot unusual activity as it happens. It also offers AI agents that investigate threats, test whether exposures can actually be exploited, and help fix many findings at once. Upwind argues that older tools lack the context to tell human activity from agent activity. Upwind also runs an AI research lab for cybersecurity and sells through the AWS Marketplace.
