About Virtru
Virtru provides a data security platform that protects sensitive information shared through email, files, and software applications. The company sells to commercial businesses of all sizes, government agencies, and mission partners. Its tools integrate with existing workflows to apply access controls and encryption to data as it moves between organisations. The platform uses attribute-based access controls to decide who can see data and when. It encrypts data with AES-256 both while moving and while stored. Organisations can deploy the platform in a self-managed, air-gapped, or VPC environment, or use a managed cloud option. Virtru also offers a private keystore so customers keep their own encryption keys. The company says it serves over 6,100 customers.
