About VaultDB
VaultDB is an encrypted database engine built by Clavitor LLC and governed by Swiss law. Every record is sealed before it reaches the file, tied to its row, and chained into an audit log that can be checked without a decryption credential. The engine stores only six plaintext facts about a record's shape and lifecycle, plus any fields chosen for indexing. It cannot read what it holds. The product is aimed at organisations that must meet controls such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR, FADP and PCI DSS. It provides per-record encryption at rest, tamper-evident audit of writes and export reads, least-privilege access as a data structure, and erasure by destroying a record's cryptographic material. A blind index of two-byte buckets per indexed value allows prefix search over ciphertext without decryption. Tenants can share one file while remaining unable to read each other's data.
