Transparent Edge is a European content delivery network and edge computing platform that also provides web and application security. It sells to medium sized companies, media outlets, e-commerce businesses and any organisation with an online presence, offering the same security and performance catalogue to smaller firms as to its largest clients. Hosting providers can also resell its CDN under their own brand through Powered by Transparent. The platform runs on Varnish Enterprise across more than 70 points of presence in over 40 countries. Customers write their own routing logic in VCL and it executes at the edge, close to users. Security features include a WAF, anti-DDoS, bot management, anomaly detection and TLS with post-quantum cryptography. Traffic anomalies are watched around the clock and can trigger alerts or automated responses. Transparent Edge differs by keeping its technology, company and data inside the European Union, outside laws such as the CLOUD Act. It bills per gigabyte rather than per request, and the same engineer follows each account from the first contract.
