About Defaults Exposed

Defaults.Exposed is an independent domain-security service. It grades domains against 33 security checks covering email authentication, encryption, web-security settings and DNS. The company has graded around 335 million domains from the outside, using only what anyone on the internet can observe. It publishes aggregate patterns and never a list of named domains. A free scan shows a domain's grade and the checks behind it. The company sells one product, the A-Grade Playbook, which gives a domain's own steps in an order that will not break email. It serves business owners and the people who manage domains for them, such as in-house IT staff, web developers and agencies. The service aims to make domain security visible and fixable in plain language.
